2 Organisation of the document
This part of the ECM standard has seven clauses. Clauses 1 and 2 provide a general introduction and the scope of this part of the ECM standard. Clauses 3 and 4 provide the core terms, with definitions and the abbreviations that are used in this part of the ECM standard.
Clauses 5 and 6 define the two approaches to communicating information using cloud-based storage servers. Clause 5 describes the choreography of the message-by-message profile and Clause 6 covers the choreography for the batched profile.
Clause 7 defines the manifest and acknowledgement messages used in Parts 2 and 3 of the ECM standard. These messages support communication of information using cloud-based storage servers.
